A really good attempt to recreate the ancient Cretan palace!
A review of Knossos by Lynn LeFey
Introduction
I read this and just wanted to review it! I am from Crete, so it is part of my history... In the beginning, I was curious about that contribution! I thought it could be faulty or wrong or have a lot of flaws. I read it with scepticism and I'm happy to tell it has nothing that alters or complicates the myth and history of Knossos.
Cons
Nothing! Not at all! The only thing I can tell is that it could be more detailed. Then again, too much detail ruins any attempt to play a fantasy game.
Pros
Good historical details. Everything mentioned is true and the maps are very accurate. I have visited the place and can tell that they are very detailed. I liked the historic information and I think that if more history was to be reffered, the place would lost its magic.
Conclusion
A very nice attempt and a successful one. I would definitely recomend it for a low level (and maybe higher with some changes) campaign. Fear the minotaur!

Playability: Good use of rules, a bit loose though.

Originality: Knossos exists, but I have never seen an attempt to built a dungeon in DnD based on the site.

Game Mechanics: Works well with the game mechanics I think. Didn't check it thoroughly, but it is OK I think.

Style: Perfect style! Detailed, historically accurate, simply fantastic!

Overall: I would recommend it as a campaign setting for lower levels, a quest for higher. With a few changes, you can even visit Knossos in her days of glory!
