I just dont agree with some of the things in this.
A review of Devious Armlets by Barbed Wire Halo
Introduction
Not a bad concept. Not original, but always fun.
Cons
I don't see how this provide a +1 armor bonus. if anything, due to the mechanics inside, I would say they are more frail, and armors that have been modified to use this, might even lose a little of their armor bonus.
I wouldn't allow small weapons in this space, I would restrict it to tiny simply for concealability.
"Masterwork versions of these gauntlets are usually also equipped with a spring sheath system designed to allow those with the Quick Draw feat to use weapons hidden in the armor faster than would normally be allowed. "
I would instead say that the versions of this that are spring loaded allow its hidden weapon to be drawn as a free action as though the wearer had the quick draw feat.
What are the rules for crafting this?
Pros
Nice concept. Great lead-in. Price seems about right.
Conclusion
Not a bad concept, but certainly far from perfect
