Fire and Ice (Medium; Martial)
The blade drained the heat from one creature freezing it and put that heat to the next, burning through flesh and bone.
This +1 bastard sword has on one edge a jagged blade that is embossed to resemble flames and on the other a scalloped edge runed with symbollic images invoking frost and cold.
The silvery hilt forks out with brazen images of fire and ice entertwined in high relief. The handgrip is bare dull metal with an impression of a hand seemingly seered into its surface. The pommel appears to drip off the end like molten silver.
This sword absorbs the ambient heat from its first attack causing 1d6 points of cold damage to the target and stores it in the blade for one round. The next round the stored heat must be transfered to a target or the glowing metal of the blade will burn the user with 1d6 points of fire damage. The next target can be the original target, a new target or any inanimate object. If the user has stored heat in the blade and rolls to hit, but misses, the heat is transfered to the user causing 1d6 points of fire damage.
On the third strike, if done in the same round as the second, the sword causes 1d3 points of cold damage. After the third strike the sword returns to normal ambient temprature thus renewing the cyle.
