The old wizard suddenly hunched over and screamed in pain has his entrails spilled out onto the floor from under his floor length robes. "My..spells....are defeated..as am I.." His apprentice could do nothing but look on in wonder as the corpse of his master continued to be beat upon by some unknown magic from afar.
Dire Dispelling
Abjuration
Level: Wiz/Sor 5
Components: V, S
Casting Time: One full round
Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Target: One spellcaster, creature, object or existing spell effect
Area: Optional: 20ft. burst.
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will negates (see text)
Spell Resistance: No
As dispel magic, except the caster of the spells to be removed also takes damage depending on the level of the effect destroyed. For every spell level removed with dire dispelling, the creator takes 1d4 points of damage from the inside out as the magic of dire dispelling punishes them as well as their spells. A Will save for each spell removed spares the caster damage equal to its level. Since the magic attacks from the inside of the caster out through their own connection to their spells, dire dispelling is not affected by their spell resistance if any.
